Daily Brief

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 September 2026

Daily Brief is an app for Shopify stores. It sends a short sales report by email to the people a store chooses. This policy explains what data Daily Brief handles, why, where and for how long.

Who we are

Daily Brief is provided by Kling Invest & Consulting AB, a company registered in Sweden (company number 559322-2317, Marielundsvägen 19, 647 35 Mariefred, Sweden). Questions about privacy: support@dailybrief.report.

Our role

When a store installs Daily Brief, the store (the merchant) decides what the app is used for and who receives the reports. For that data the merchant is the controller and we are the processor, acting only on the merchant's instructions. The terms are in our Data Processing Agreement.

We are the controller only for the emails you send to our support address.

What Daily Brief reads

Daily Brief has read-only access to the store's orders and products. It never changes anything in the store.

It does not request customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses from Shopify, and it never stores information about a store's customers.

What Daily Brief stores

Why

Only to build and send the reports the merchant has asked for, to show the plan and usage in the app, to answer support questions, and to keep the service secure and working. We do not sell data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not combine data from different stores.

Where the data is kept and who helps us

Both act as our subprocessors under written agreements. Shopify is the platform the store runs on; its handling of data is described in Shopify's own privacy policy.

How long

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, the Shopify access token is encrypted at rest, and each store's data is isolated in the database so that one store can never read another's. Access is limited to what the app needs: read-only access to orders and products.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, and ask for a copy of it. If you are a recipient added by a store, the store is the controller; you can contact the store, or write to us and we will pass your request on and help the store answer it. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority; in Sweden this is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).

Cookies

This website does not use cookies or tracking. Inside Shopify, Daily Brief uses only what Shopify requires to sign you in to the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date. Significant changes are also announced to merchants in the app.
